The University is nationally recognized for its outstanding uses of infomation technologies. Over 99% of Delaware students own computers, making the connection between students and faculty more convenient than ever.
If you have a laptop, you'll be able to use wireless access or plug into the campus network all over campus, including classrooms, student lounge areas, Student Centers, and campus computing sites.
A majority of classes go online for research and homework assignments. Faculty use basic tools such a learning management system, e-mail, wikis, and blogs to communicate with you, and endeavor to move beyond these basics. A learning management system helps faculty and students keep up to date with class materials and assignments, tests, grades, and provides for online discussion outside of class.
Faculty members use the newest technologies to create online simulations and interactive programs to assess learning, and students are creating electronic portfolios for accreditation programs. The Student Multimedia Design Center, located in the lower level of the Morris Library, enables faculty and students to use and create multimedia elements that enhance classroom assignments.
