The Associate in Arts (A.A.) Program is an academic program for Delaware residents only that replaces the Parallel Program. Program courses will be offered in the UD Academic Centers at the Wilmington, Dover, and Georgetown locations of Delaware Technical and Community College (DTCC). A.A. students will be able to pursue a University of Delaware Associate in Arts degree that may lead to a B.A. degree at the University of Delaware's main campus. Delaware residents who wish to enroll in this program should complete the Application for Admission.
All Delawareans who demonstrate the capacity to succeed will be admitted to the Program. Most courses in the Program will be taught by University of Delaware faculty with students receiving advisement and assistance from staff of the University Advisement Center, the Academic Services Center, the Writing Center, and the Preparatory Math Lab. The A.A. degree requires the successful completion of 60 credit hours of approved academic work with a minimum grade point index of 2.0 prior to continuing a B.A. degree at the University of Delaware's main campus.
Students who wish to pursue studies at the Georgetown, Dover, or Wilmington campus of the University of Delaware, but who do not wish to apply to the Associate in Arts Program, should indicate their campus choice in question #23 of the Application for Admission. All Delaware applicants will be considered for admission into the A.A. Program and a four-year baccalaureate degree program. Students who apply to the Georgetown, Dover, or Wilmington campus, but are fully admissible into a baccalaureate program, will be admitted into a baccalaureate program and may begin their studies at the campus of their choice. Letters of admission will indicate that, as well as the campus a student has chosen.
The SEED (Student Excellence Equals Degree) Scholarship Program provides tuition for full-time students enrolled in the Associate in Arts Program at the University of Delaware.
