To apply to the University Honors Program, interested students must follow all application guidelines for the University of Delaware, as outlined on the Checklist for Applying. In addition, applicants wishing to be considered for the Honors Program must complete the Honors Program section on the Application for Admission or the Common Application Supplement, and must submit all parts of the application by December 1. The University Honors Program is highly selective, but does not rely on any single academic criterion. We recognize a broad range of excellence. Last year, most students admitted were in the top 5% of their high school graduating class, and nearly all were in the top 10%. Fifty-one were valedictorian or salutatorian. The middle 50% had SAT-I scores between 1340 and 1440 and high school GPAs between 3.82 and 4.00 on a 4-point scale.

Considering applying to the University of Delaware? Please keep the following dates in mind as you are completing the application process:
Applicants who want full consideration for all programs and scholarships and the University Honors Program:
- December 1
Submit the UD Application for Admission or the Common Application and Supplement
Applicants who want to be considered for admission to the fall semester should apply no later than the following date:
- January 15
Submit the UD Application for Admission or the Common Application and Supplement - Mid-March
Admission Decision Notification Date - May 1
Deposit Deadline for all Regular Decision freshman applicants
*Students who apply to the University of Delaware after January 15 will be considered on a "space available" basis.
