The College of Engineering at the University of Delaware — an institution with a vigorous past, a dynamic present, and a brilliant future. Even before the first engineering degree was awarded here in 1892, the foundation for engineering excellence was being formed. Today that distinction is increasingly recognized with prestigious national awards to our faculty and students for their research, teaching, and service. Research expenditures have more than doubled in the last decade, reaching almost $42 million in 2006, and the strength of our graduate programs continues to greatly enhance the undergraduate experience.
