College of Health Sciences

The College of Health Sciences was formed July 1, 1997 as a result of a merger between the College of Nursing, the College of Physical Education, Athletics, and Recreation, and the department of Nutrition and Dietetics. It was renamed to the College of Health Sciences on July 1, 2005. There are about 130 faculty and staff in the College and about 1600 students. The College consists of the Departments of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences and Medical Technology, the School of Nursing, and the Division of Special Programs. In addition, some of the faculty in this College participate in the interdisciplinary Biomechanics and Movement Science program. The College offers nine undergraduate degrees and five graduate degrees with eight different areas of concentration.
