International Business Studies is the integration of an in-depth study of a foreign language and the region of the world represented by that language, combined with a broad education in business fundamentals and specific education in international business. International business encompasses global, economic, and financial issues in the marketing of products and services, and management of firms across international borders. Two requirements set the International Business Studies major apart from other business programs: 1) advanced language proficiency and 2) a semester abroad in a region of interest. If you enjoy living and working in a different culture, speaking a different language, and interacting with people from another region of the world, then International Business Studies is the major for you.
