Agriculture and natural resources cover the world. Topics like food, the environment, international trade, biotechnology, and plant and animal life are all extensions of this exciting field. It’s the diversity and importance of these issues that make a major in Agriculture and Natural Resources (AGNR) so appealing in today’s world. AREA OF EMPHASIS AT DELAWARE For students who have wide-reaching interests in agriculture and natural resources--or who can’t settle on just one of our majors--AGNR provides an easy way to combine interests and create an individual curriculum. By choosing courses in Animal and Food Sciences; Entomology and Wildlife Ecology; Food and Resource Economics; Bioresources Engineering; and Plant and Soil Sciences, students complete at least 30 credit hours in agriculture and natural resources. Additionally, they select various courses in literature, the arts, social sciences, humanities, computing, mathematics, communications, and the physical and life sciences. There is a lot of freedom in the AGNR major, and with a faculty advisor to assist, students design programs to fit their individual interests and career goals.
