Mathematics - the study of patterns, relations, quantity and space - is both a science unto itself and a tool for many other disciplines including the physical and life sciences, engineering, economics and sociology. Mathematicians use the principle of logic, number theory, quantitative and qualitative reasoning to solve problems in a broad range of fields.

AREA OF EMPHASIS AT DELAWARE

The BA degree in Mathematics Education trains students in secondary school mathematics education. The program is NCATE approved.
