Fly to Philadelphia International Airport, just 50 minutes to the north of campus, or Baltimore Washington International Aiport (BWI), about one hour to the south of campus. If you are driving to campus from the airport, follow our directions by car. Otherwise, ground transportation to and from campus is provided by Delaware Express and SuperShuttle (see the box at right for contact information).
Airport SEPTA Service: To take the SEPTA train from the Philadelphia airport to Newark, follow the signs for baggage claim. Before you get to the baggage claim area, you will see signs for the train. These will lead you to an escalator going down to the track level. Purchase a ticket in one of the vending machines for zone 5 (tickets may also be purchased on the train, with a possible surcharge). The adult one-way fare should be $7. Take the SEPTA R1 train from the airport (it stops at every terminal) to University City, walk to the other side of the platform, and take the R2 outbound to Newark. The R1 runs every half hour. The R2 only serves Newark Monday-Friday at certain times. The following is a current list of R2 trains from University City:

AMTRAK trains run between Florida to New England and stop in Wilmington. Greyhound buses from Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New York City travel to Wilmington. The Greyhound bus will drop you off in front of the Wilmington train station. From the Wilmington train station, it is a 45-minute express bus ride to campus via the #6 DART bus; non-express buses may take slightly longer. Express buses run every half-hour at a cost of $1.90 each way. Limited taxi service to Newark from the Wilmington train station is also available.
